Will I need to leave the U.S. for stamping after my extension is approved?

If you remain in the U.S., you don’t need a new visa stamp until you travel abroad. If you leave the U.S. after your extension is approved, then you’ll need to get a new H-1B visa stamp at a U.S. consulate before returning.
